This address was delivered in Newcastle on November 19, to the members of the Literary and Philosophical Society, and the substance of it at a somewhat later date to past and present engineering students of University College, London. There are points in the address which seem to me to need consideration at the present time from a somewhat wider audience, and in the hope of inciting those of my countrymen who are working for the reorganization of the nation.
