Excerpt from Substances Screened for Ability to Reduce Thermal Resistance of Bacterial Spores<br/><br/>The statistical summary of results (table 1) shows that about 10% of the substances reduced the D value of these spores by at least and about A% of the substances reduced the D value by 45% or more. Activity is eu countered frequently in some classes of substances and not at all in others. In general, these substances are commerci ly available if their source is not given in the list of substances tested.1 The companies and individ nals who supplied non-commercial samples for testing are listed in Table 3.
