Robertson reviewed the literature in 1910 and added six new cases. He emphasized the presence of hemorrhage into the cord, advancing it as a cause of fatal result. He thought there was a lymphatic hyperplasia throughout the body. The same year Strauss 15 reported eight cases, and gave an excellent description of the disease and its pathol ogy. He considered the vascular mantling periadventitial rather than located in the perivascular ly'mph spaces and that the glia cells were the origin of the wandering cells.
