Excerpt from A Contribution to the Physiological Study of Veratrum Viride and Veratria<br/><br/>Veratrum viride was not brought into notice until a little more than two years ago. Several practitioners had used and found this drug to be of great value; but its advantage was not generally known until Drs. Cutter, Rickard and Ingalls, in behalf of the Middlesex District Medical Society, called the attention of physicians to its use, and prepared an account of their experience with it, which was published in the American Journal of Medical Sciences.
