Excerpt from The Eye in Health and Disease<br/><br/>I feel that some apology is due to the public for the long period which this little treatise has been out of print; the more especially as the large sale in this country, with its translation into the French language, would naturally make me more anxious to make it worthy of its extensive patronage. Nevertheless, a press of business, an inability to bestow such an amount of time as the importance of the subject demands, and the delays required for the development of the system of binocular perspective, have prevented its publication till the present year.
