John Foster compiled his first anthology for children in 1979 and since then he has become one of the country's leading poetry anthologists. He is also a well-known poet in his own right. His poems have been featured in many anthologies and he has written 8 collections of his poetry himself. John is much in demand as a performance poet and has given over 500 performances in schools and libraries. He regularly takes part in Book festivals and has even performed in schools in Europe, the Middle East and the West Indies. He is married with two grown up sons and five-year-old grand-daughter and lives in Oxfordshire.
