Towards Hydrogen Infrastructure: Advances and Challenges in Preparing for the Hydrogen Economy lays out the fundamental needs and processes of a potential hydrogen-based economy.

This book begins by outlining the processes, theory, and technology underlying hydrogen energy, from production to storage and dissemination. Each chapter outlines the potential and the hurdles for developing each element toward a workable hydrogen infrastructure. The later parts consider the social, and environmental issues surrounding the hydrogen economy, and suggest updated governmental policies.

Presenting the needs of hydrogen energy infrastructure from development to practical implementation,

Über die Autorinnen und Autoren

Dr. Jaiswal-Nagar is an Assistant Professor at the School of Physics, Indian Institute of Science Education and Research Thiruvananthapuram (IISER-TVM), India. Her area of interest is very wide ranging from superconductivity, quantum criticality, charge transport at nanoscale to hydrogen storage and nanomaterials synthesis for gas sensing and chemical detection. Dr. Jaiswal-Nagar has contributed to the scientific community by publishing many peer-reviewed research articles in the above-mentioned areas.

Dr. Dixit is a Postdoctoral fellow at the School of Physics, Indian Institute of Science Education and Research Thiruvananthapuram (IISER-TVM), India. Her area of interest is focused on hydrogen storage. She has studied many materials such as metal hydrides, nanomaterials, and alloys for hydrogen storage application. She has also worked on bio-waste materials for water filtration. Currently, she is focused on studying the hydrogen sensing behavior of hybrid nanomaterials using the green chemistry synthesis route.

Dr. Devasahayam is a senior research fellow at the Department of Chemical Engineering, Monash University, Australia, currently focusing on carbon dioxide reduction through advanced energy conversion and utilization technologies and energy and emission reductions towards sustainable processing of materials. She has already edited Sustainability in Mineral and Energy Sectors, CRC Press 2017. She has authored many peer-reviewed papers in related areas.
