The Tree - Hardcover

The Tree

Hardcover. Zustand: Very Good. Zustand des Schutzumschlags: Very Good. Frank Horvat (illustrator). 1st Edition. Quoting from the flap of the dust jacket: "John Fowles and Frank Horvat are in no sense ordinary artists, and the "The Tree" cannot be appreciated simply as a picture book of trees. The words and images of these master craftsen fuse into a grand design that draws us beyond the labels we attrach unconsciously to these familiar objects--trees--and makes us see that very tree at our doorstep in a new and more penetrating light. There is a lovely color photo by Horvat about every other page; you are bound to enjoy this book. It strikes me as a book we ought to keep in our vacation camp in the mountains to remind our guests and ourselves of the majesty that surrounds us. Condition: This book is in very good condition. The dust jacket show some edge wear particularly on the top edge which is rolled at the rear and some minor splits. The high gloss finish is also slightly scuffed. There is one small bruise at the bottom edge of the front cover but otherwise, the boards are clean and bright. Inside, the book is unmarked and the pages and plates are clean and bright throughout, without toning or foxing. This book is not ex-library or a remainder. Artikel-Nr. 4510
