Scared Money - Softcover

WHAT LIES BETWEEN A BIG TOWN SWINDLE…
Ex-Ranger Jeremiah Spur is headed for Austin, Texas, on a job he can’t refuse: Find the embezzler who vanished with a real estate tycoon’s ten million plus. It’s a personal request from the victim himself. He claims to have ties to Spur’s estranged father, a man thought long dead. Spur figures it’s one way to face family demons—by finding them.

AND SMALL TOWN VENGEANCE…
What Spur leaves behind is also a crime: a cold-blooded double murder—the result of competing drug cartels, and a new criminal bent for rural areas like Brenham. The case is left to Clyde Thomas to solve—an African American Deputy Sheriff who’s turned the racially charged town upside down.

…IS A REAL KILLER.
What Spur and Thomas yield from their investigations is a link that neither imagined—one driven by revenge, greed, and blind fear. Where it takes them is across two continents, through a violent whirlpool of dark motivations, and finally, toward the discovery of an even darker
truth that’s set to trap its next victim.
