Since the end of the Second World War the world has been gripped by smaller, more localised conflicts. Some of these have simply been conflicts that the Second World War failed to resolve - others have been a direct result of that war, as colonised peoples in Asia and Africa began to realise that their imperial masters were no longer invincible. In this book, Daniel Moran demonstrates all the ways in which wars have been fought over the past fifty years. He describes the peasant uprising that led to the revolution in China, the guerrilla warfare of Vietnam, and the use of terrorism in Palatine, Algeria and Ireland. Biografía del autor:
Daniel Moran is Professor of National Security Affairs, Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, California. He has lectured and written widely, including a translation of CLAUSEWITZ, which was shortlisted for the International PEN/Book of the Month Club Translation Prize.
