SHUKRI B. ABED is Professor of Philosophy & Director of the Arabic Program at the Center for Jerusalem Studies, Al-Quds University.


Shukri B. Abed is professor of philosophy and director of the Arabic program at the Center for Jerusalem Studies, Al-Quds University. Formerly, he was chairman of the Language and Regional Studies Department at the Middle East Institute in Washington, DC.
Arawa Sawan teaches Arabic media courses at the Middle East Institute. She is also a media correspondent, specializing in documentary films about the Arab-Israeli conflict and Middle East affairs, Palestinians, and the situation of Arab Americans in the United States.
