On ne s'improvise pas postérité; on doit se borner à fournir à celle - ci les matériaux des jugements qu'elle sera appelée à rendre sans appel, et a poser les jalons du chemin qu'elle aura à suivre pour qu'ils soient fondés en droit comme en raison. La tâche était suffisante et je me suis efforcé de la remplir de mon mieux.
