The group representing the next smaller size of eggs to mm.) in diameter is characterized especially by fish in their third year with either ocean or stream nuclei, while the group representing the smallest eggs to 8 mm.) is characterized chiefly by fish in their second year with ocean nuclei. The size of the eggs in the group having the largest eggs corresponds, in each instance, with the size of eggs in the Warren dale collection and are, therefore, without doubt fish which would have matured during the year in which they were taken.
