Durch diese doppelte Behandlungsvéeise, ferner durch mehrere beigefügte oder erweiterte Kapitel wurde der Stoff so vermehrt, dass er in einem Bande nicht mehr untergebracht werden konnte. Der vorliegende erste Band enthält den theo retischen Theil das graphische Rechnen und die eigentliche graphische Statik, wahrend der zweite Band die Anwendungen enthalten soll. In der ersten Auflage bildete dieser Theil des Werkes nur die beiden ersten Abschnitte über das graphische Rechnen und die graphische Statik, welche im Jahre 1864 er schienen sind.
