The various symptoms presented by nervous affections are there described and analysed the practical anatomy and physi ology of the nervous system, necessary to their understanding, are con timely set forth, and the attempt is made to trace each symptom to its underlying disturbance of function to a definite nerve centre or nerve tmot. In this way the student ts enabled from the study of symptoms to rash a conclusion as to the nature and location of the lesion pro ducing it, and thus to make a diagnosis of the disease present.
