Kélékian I-knew in Paris many years ago. I knew his shop as a place where I could buy antiqui ties which were antique; and among my most treasured possessions is an Egyptian head in stone which I bought of him in my student days. The question of modern art' never came up and I was unaware that the antiquarian had as marvellous a flair for Cézanne and Seurat as he had for Egyptian bas-reliefs and Persian pottery.
