Bandages vary in length and width according to the purposes for which they are employed, and in practice it will be found that a small variety of bandages will be amply sufficient for the application of all the ordinary surgical dressings. The following list comprises those most frequently used, and Shows their dimensions: Bandage one inch in width, three yards in length, for bandage for hand, fingers, and toes.
Bandage two inches wide, six yards in length, for head bandages and for the extremities in children.
