The prevailing opinion upon this subject has been, that the Jews, the literal descend ants of the patriarchs, are to be gathered from among the nations where they have been dispersed, and restored to the land of Canaan, to the enjoyment of an independ ent national government and privileges' among other nations, and to continue thus to the end of time. If this sentiment can be maintained from the word of God, then the doctrine set forth in these pages must be incorrect.
