Beef blood is excellent, being rich in nitrogen, and nearly approaches the white of the egg in composition. It may be thickened with a mixture of meal and bran, put in a bag and boiled. Or it may be mixed, if fresh, with the regular soft food. Feed it only twice or three times a week.
