The skilful and earnest teacher will see that his duty is not limited to seeing that his scholars have been care fully taught the lesson by some one else at home. This is important; but he is also a teacher. And in order to discharge his duty, he will seek to acquire for himself, and to communicate to them, additional information, which he can give them with all the freshness and life of a conversation, while securing the advantage of having the scholars already acquainted with the chief facts. This will make what he says more impressive and more likely to be remembered.
