The object of this investigation was to determine the various characteristics of the new type B form K General Electric transformer, when operated on both single and three-phase circuits under various conditions. The magnetic circuit of the transformer, which because of its shape might be called either a core or shell type, is made of a new grade of silicon steel having such physical qualities that the core loss is small.
