Twelve years have passed since the Author published his Manual of Practical Pharmaceutical Amaying. During the' greater part of the intervening time he has been occupied in a different line of work. Others, however, have been engaged diligently in bringing under more complete cultivation the field in which his work was so largely of a pioneer character, and the old Manual am no longer be said to be abreast with the times Decidedly it is time for a new book.
