I want to protest in the first place about it being said that I have come all the way from Canada in order to speak to you. I can leave Toronto at in the after noon, and I can get here before noon the next day. When I was on the trial bench, very frequently I used to go up to part of the Province of Ontario (from which I come), eleven hundred miles away from Toronto (to Washington cannot be more than five or six hundred miles); I would leave Toronto at noon, and I would arrive at my desti nation two days thereafter. So, when you talk about coming all the way, you forget that Canada, as well as Washington, is a place of magnificent distances.
