The loss column of the Oberlin base ball squad grew much longer than the win column as the season progressed with the result that the record does not compare with that in track and tennis. Oberlin defeated Otterbein, Kenyon, and Wooster when meeting those teams for their first encounters, but return engagements with each of these teams reversed the score in the latter part of the season. Ohio Wes leyan, Ashland, Rochester and Kent State also topped the Yeomen. In the regular Varsity - Alumni battle during Commencement week-end, the Alumni Squad played heads up ball, and when rain stopped the fracas, the score stood 2-2.
