Excerpt from Wiard Family

There were others of the same surname in this country at a very early date, but if they were in any way related to Robert Wyer it has not been sufficiently traced. It has been suggested, how ever, that Robert Wyer was an elder son of Na thaniel Wyer of Newbury, Mass, and later of Nan tucket, whose descendants now go by the name of Weare. (see Sargent's Family History of Weare.)
