I am unable to lay before you a statement of the financial con dition of the State. The fiscal year has not expired, and the se counts of the Auditor and Treasurer have not been balanced and rendered.

The bonds of the State issued in 1846, for mature on the lst January next, in New York, and some provision should be made for their payment.
