The tables give the exact values for rates of percentage realized at intervals of 110 of one per cent. To find, therefore, the percentage realized on a bond, take in the table and column corresponding to The date and denomination of the bond the value nearest to the market price. The percentage printed opposite on either side will be correct within 316 of one per cent.

Any greater degree of accuracy, if desirable, may be obtained by some easy computations which are illustrated in the following examples. The latter sho°'w, at the same time, a variety of problems which may be solved with the aid of the tables.
