The honor of addressing, on any occasion, the distinguished friends of humanity and benev olence must afford no ordinary pleasure on so interesting an occasion, as the anniversary of an institution founded in the purest principles, and cherished by the noblest feelings, it excites emo tions of high delight, Though unqualified (and I am deeply conscious of it) to do justice to a. Subject so important and so sublime, as such an institution presents, I shall make no apologies, Since it is a subject so delightful.
