The pro fession has found itself powerless against the immense pecuniary interests involved in the sale Of secret remedies, and has not been able even to compel the disclosure Of the composition of these preparations, so that the public might know what it is buying. How little, then, can we hope to do in the way Of enacting intelligent penal laws or of re.
