The List of Subscribers will be issued in an early number, and the Author hopes to have a large number of additional names, and thanks' the present Sub scribers for their forbearance during the unavoidable delay that has occurred 5 and as he purposes devoting a considerable portion of his time to the completion of the Work, it is absolutely necessary that an effort be made to make it somewhat remunerative.

Additional descriptions sent will be thankfully received, and the Collections in which they are will be printed in the Supplement numbers. Any corrections will also be noted and acknowledged.
