The flattering success of the song champion, published m 1877, and the conqueror, published in 1880, in spires the h0pe that the key letter will also make many friends. N 0 poor music has been selected to please: personal friends, or because it was never before published, and no good music has been discarded because it is olo'. It is believed that the book is unusually supplied with bright and sparkling melodies and movements; and although most of the mus1c 15 new, a few standard pieces have been introduced, such as are best suited to supply the wants that the key letter is intended to supply.

Teachers and composers are invited to correspond with the author, and to send manuscript for future publications.
