Clinebell, Jr. Says an alcoholic is anyone whose drinking interferes frequently or continuously with any of his im portant life adjustments and interpersonal relationships'.1 In his thinking, a social drinker who might occassionally permit his drinking to interfere with his work, will realize the danger and reduce the frequency or amount of his drinking. This is the primary distinction between the alcoholic and the social drinker.
