Excerpt from Diocese of Raleigh: Fiftieth Anniversary Celebration and Solemn Commencement of the 1975 Holy Year; 4: 30 P. M. December 8, 1974, J. S. Dorton Arena, Raleigh, North Carolina

In the years to come, may the priests, the religious women and the people of the Diocese continue to grow as faith communities, centered in Our Lord, Jesus Christ, who is the Way, the Truth and the Life.

To this Blessing of the Holy Father, I wish to add my personal greetings and prayerful good wishes.
