It is said that the depraved have had the habitual current Of thought turned away from things vile by the influence of suggestions. Such cases of purely subjection reformation have interest, but no exceptional value, as similar reformations are constantly occurring and become more lasting through enlightened religious, educational and social agencies; while these few and somewhat dubious cases of reform by suggestion, are overwhelmed by the numerous instances of hypnotics coerced into acts and emotions the reverse of elevating.
