He dicho ya en Noticias anteriores, que la biblioteca argentina sólo desea dar, por ahora, los textos depurados en lo posible, valiéndose de las fuentes menos Sospechosas y acompañando los libros que publica, de una breve (historia externa que oriente al lector novel, generalmente no infor mado sobre la autenticidad o variante de las edi ciones anteriores. No tratándose, pues, de edicio nes críticas, en el estricto sentido europeo de esta palabra, sino del punto de partida para hacerlas después, he creído que debía reducirme a clasificar los materiales, pero dando al lector los anteceden tes bibliográficos, por si quisiera emprender, sobre nuestro volumen, el estudio del pertinente pro blema y su definitiva solución.
