It appears in German type, and is thus calculated to familiarize the learner with the character in which most German books are printed. It now contains a much greater quantity of matter, the size of the page having been enlarged, and some pages added. New pieces have been substituted for some of those contained in the first edition, the change having been suggested by the experience of the compiler of the work in using it as a class-book in the University.
