Lorsque j'ai publié dans le Mouvement socialiste les articles qui vont être maintenant réunis en un volume. Je n'avais pas l'intention de composer un livre. J'avais écrit mes réflexions au fur et a mesure qu'elles s'étaient présentées à mon esprit; je savais que les abonnés de cette revue ne seraient pas embarrassés pour me suivre, parce qu'ils sont familiarisés avec les théories qu'y déve 10ppent mes amis depuis plusieurs années. Je crois bien que les lecteurs de ce livre seraient au contraire fort déso rientés si je ne leur adressais une sorte de plaidoyer.
