Tm: Author, having been informed that no public notice would be taken of the Anniversary ofthe landing of the Pilgrims, in the adjoining towns, had- concluded that there would be none in this town. But finding, on the Monday preceding, that a number of the inhabitants were disappointed that no mention had been made to the congregation on the Sabbath, of an in' tended celebration of it, he was induced, by their solicitation, to prepare the following discourse; and, at their request, and that of others who were present at the delivery of it, it is now published.
