Excerpt from The Bible Vision, Vol. 1: June, 1937

In this day you must be disillusioned. When you come to Bible school,-the church does not assume the responsibility to assimilate you. Some Bible school graduates find it so difficult to adjust themselves that they never fit into the life of the church.

Don't forget that the things that you have acquired will never be learned until they are incorporated into actual life. Beyond these you will build a superstructure. SO you are just now beginning to learn. This is gratifying to parents. A son, after graduating from college wrote home to his father this terse message, Hymn 551, last verse.' The father hurriedly looked up the number in the Old hymnal, and there he found these lines, Troubles over, sorrow ended, Jordan passed.

I want to speak to~you on things that abide. We are not only living in a changing world; we are living in a perishing world. The great universe is dissipating its energies. When physicists study the physical world, they are sure that it is expending its resources. I think it is hard for us to predict what the future will be even in the light of the Scriptures. Everywhere there is a breaking down and going to pieces. We read in the Word that the outward man perisheth. It is true that in the physical universe nothing is annihilated, but everywhere there is change. Our political institutions and our standards Of right and wrong are undergoing profound modifications.
