IN spite of the frequency of occurrence of the fracture generally known by the name of Abraham Colles, it is but seldom that an opportunity is afforded of making a dissection of the recent lesion. The following account may therefore be interesting, and the more so because there are still many vexed questions in connection with this fracture which can only be settled by the careful com parison of a larger number of recent dissections than have yet found their way into medical literature.
