The next day Joseph was very much fatigued through the events of the night, and could scarcely work. By the angel's command he told his father what had happened to him. His father believed his testimony and 'charged him not to fail in attending strictly to the instruction which he had received from the heavenly messenger. Soon after, that is on the same day that Joseph had this conversation with his father, he repaired to the place where the plates were deposited; for the angel had shown him in vision the hill Cumorah and the spot where the sacred records lay concealed.
