I need say nothing about the usefulness of the book, as it has been sufficiently proved by its having successfully passed through two editions. To add to its usefulness I have inserted in it the Record of Rights Act and the Rules and Instructions there under. All the important orders passed since the publication of the last edition have also been inserted in their proper place, while those that have been superseded or cancelled have been omitted. In fact, no efforts have been spared to bring the compilation up to date, and I hope that the present edition will be received by the general public with the same degree of approbation with which the last two editions were received by them.
