Excerpt from Secretary's First Report: Harvard College, Class of 1907

You with the hope that it will prove an interesting record of our college course and a useful guide in following our class mates during the past year. In its preparation I can assure you that I have taken all reasonable pains to make it both accurate and complete. That I have partially failed in the latter respect you will probably note as you read the report. I wish to thank, however, the many classmates who have given faithfully and promptly the information sought, and those also who have gladly aided me in many of the smaller details of its preparation. Of the delinquents who have neg lected to answer all appeals for information, I can only ask a better response in the future.
