I do not propose to dwell upon the predisposing and exciting cause of this difficulty, the frequency Of its occurrence, or the best acknowledged methods of treatment. These are supposed to be familiar to every intelligent member of the'profession, and, therefore, not called for in this place. My remarks will be confined chiefly to that period or condition of pregnancy in which the ovum derives its nourishment from the mother, mainly through the medium Of the deciduous membrane.
