As a writer, editor, artist, identification expert, and bird-tour leader, Rob Hume is much in demand for his expertise on birds. A lifelong birdwatcher, who worked for the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds (RSPB) for 35 years, he edited the award-winning RSPB Birds magazine, which has a readership of 1.8 million, for 20 years. Rob was also on the editorial board of the influential British Birds magazine and chaired the British Birds Rarities Committee.
