Professor Helen Roy, MBE, is principal scientist and ecologist at the NERC's Centre for Ecology & Hydrology, co-organiser of the UK Ladybird Survey, and former President of the Royal Entomological Society.
The Royal Entomological Society (RES) is devoted to the development of insect science and increasing public understanding of entomology.
