Claire Summerscale has played chess since the age of nine. She became the British girls under 11 and under 13 champion. Currently, she is the chairman of the Four Nations Chess League and a chess trainer. Formerly, she was the British Chess Federation Director of Women's International Chess and English Chess Federation Director of Junior Chess and Education.
