Raven Biederman has taught at the Globe School of Music and the Art Institute of San Francisco. He has worked as FOH mixer at Club Cocomo and other small-to-medium-sized venues. He is founder of Recoil Studios, where he’s accumulated numerous album credits.

Penny Pattison

has worked as a writing professional, educator, and research expert. Her dual interest in empowering students with accessible and useful information and in participating in small-venue, live-performance culture has led her to enthusiastically lend her skills to serve as the title’s coauthor.
