David E. Elkins has spent the past ten years as an Assistant Cameraman and Camera Operator on many commercials, music videos, feature films, and television series. Among his credits are The Wonder Years, Star Trek-The Next Generation, Gabriel's Fire and commercials for McDonalds, Burger King, Coca-Cola and many more. He has spent many years teaching at Columbia College-Hollywood. He is also the author of Camera Terms and Concepts (Focal Press).

David E. Elkins is a working camera operator and first assistant cameraman with more than 25 years of professional experience working on feature films, television series, commercials, music videos, educational films, industrial films and much more. In addition to his production experience, he has taught numerous film production classes and workshops on both the east and west coasts of the United States. He is an active member of the International Cinematographers Guild Local 600 and Society of Camera Operators (SOC).
