Eugene Garver is a professor of philosophy at Saint John's University in Minnesota. He is the author ofAristotle's Rhetoric: An Art of Character and Machiavelli an the History of Prudence, as well as coeditor ofPluralism in Theory and Practice: Richard McKeon and American Philosophy.
